Evanston High School provides a range of resources to support transparency and student success, including accountability reports, a comprehensive plan, school goals, and a school profile. Families and students can also access the principal's message and the school's mission statement to understand the values and direction of the school.     Comprehensive Plan

    Uinta County School District #1 has chosen to work with the Marzano Institute to complete our certification through the High-Reliability Schools Certification process. At the end of the 2018-2019 school year, we certified in level one. (Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture).

    Currently, we are in the process of preparing for recertification in level one and certification in level two (Effective Teaching in Every Classroom). Our goal is to be certified in Levels one and two by the end of the year.

    Community Profile

    Evanston is located in the southwest corner of Wyoming in Uinta County. The population of Evanston is 12,000 and 20,200 for all of Uinta County. The major employers in Evanston are: Uinta County School District #1, Wyoming State Hospital, City of Evanston, Mountain Regional Services, and Evanston Regional Hospital. These employers have more than 150 employees.

    Evanston High School, a public, 4-year, co-ed high school, is the only high school in the Evanston area. It includes grades 9-12 with a student population of approximately 800 students. There are 55 certified staff members. The teacher pupil ratio is 1/14.

    Evanston High School students have the opportunity to earn 8 credits per school year.

    Grading System

    • Required courses must be passed with a C- or better in order to receive a required credit.
    • Elective courses must be passed with a D- or better in order to receive an elective credit.

    The following are procedures for Graduate/Former student to obtain a copy of school transcripts:

    Evanston High School maintains transcripts for ten years. To obtain a copy, complete the Evanston High School Transcript Request Form or contact the registrar's office. There is no charge for these transcripts.
