Course Description
Vocal Jazz Ensemble II Grade: 10 11 12
Prerequisite: Audition and 1 year of high school music experience Credit: 1
Students must audition and have teacher approval to register. This is a select choir of 16 singers. Students will learn the fundamentals of singing vocal jazz, blues, pop, a cappella and madrigal styles. It will perform in 5 concerts a year, will represent EHS at the Southwest District Music Festival, and will travel to compete in two jazz festivals. Additional students are needed to play piano, bass and drums. Students must plan to schedule this A/B rotator class for the full year (fall and spring semesters).
