Vocal Jazz I

Vocal Jazz Ensemble I              Grade:     10      11     12

Prerequisite:  Audition and 1 year of high school music experience                         Credit: 1

Students must audition and have teacher approval to register.  This is Evanston’s ambassador group and is limited to 16 select singers.  Students will perform high-level music, including vocal jazz, blues, pop, a cappella and madrigal styles.  It will perform in 5 concerts a year, will represent EHS at the Southwest District Music Festival, and will travel to compete in two jazz festivals.  Additional students are needed to play piano, bass and drums.  Students must plan to schedule this A/B rotator class for the full year (fall and spring semesters).
