Transferability: This vocational course is intended to provide entry level training.
Course Description: This course will introduce students to automotive Body repair, Paint Prep Methods and Paint Methods and procedures. Emphasis will be placed on operational theory, trouble diagnosis,and correct repair.

In this course the goal is to learn and develop the following skills:
- Communicate orally and in written form through the use of current, correct industry terminology. Transfer technical data into non-technical information for complete understanding to the customer.
- Retrieve and interpret information and specifications from electronic and conventional reference sources accurately and efficiently.
- Develop a professionalism, work ethic and problem-solving skills. Develop responsibility of taking ownership and completing a task. Understand the consequences of shoddy workmanship.
- Analyze and interpret, in an organized manner according to systems, to determine appropriate procedure for and cure and cause or “root” problem as well as it’s symptoms.
- Encourage professionalism and responsibility in both work-related decisions needed to keep up with ever-advancing technology.
METHODS OF INSTRUCTION:
Thirty minutes each day will be spent in the classroom on lectures, demonstrations, individualized activity, and audio- visual programmed materials. Forty five minutes each day will be spent in the lab using equipment and procedures related to conventional and anti lock brake systems.
METHODS OF EVALUATION:
The student is required to have a 90% attendance in the class, complete all assignments and pass scheduled exams and test. The amount of material to be covered in the allotted time is bstantial:therefore class attendance is a must. Grading will meet the Wyoming state standards as well as the Evanston High School Standards.
